ST. JOE’S

Project Overview

St Joe’s is a community and events space located near the Docks area of Belfast. Overseeing St Joe’s are Sailortown Regeneration Group, a people led group with the aim of redeveloping the Sailortown area. After the building was deconsecrated, its previous guise being a church it sat neglected for a few years gradually falling into dereliction. Following significant campaigning by the community the keys to the space were handed to the Sailortown Regeneration Group. This huge milestone would mark the beginning of the building’s restoration and repair. Over the last number of years, the group have worked tirelessly to ensure the building is preserved and refurbished in order that it may serve the local community as it has done since its establishment. St Joe’s has been and continues to be at the heart of the community through the work of Sailortown Regeneration Group. St Joe’s has ambitious plans for the future all which revolve around the idea of serving the community creating a place where they can “work, live and play.”

This project set out to create a brand identity for St Joe’s. This identity would speak to the history of St Joe’s whilst looking to the future and represent the community of Sailortown that it is an important part of. This would seek to showcase St Joe’s to those outside the community and attract people to the Sailortown area. As a part of this project, we created a brand identity, video content, digital material, social media content and a website.
